One Dream From God Will Change Your Life Forever: The Genesis of Google and Witty Inventions

“You know what it’s like to wake up in the middle of the night with a vivid dream? And you know how, if you don’t have a pencil and pad by the bed to write it down, it will be completely gone the next morning? Well, I had one of those dreams when I was 23."
4. Translating Dream to Reality
Larry continued: "When I suddenly woke up, I was thinking: what if we could download the whole web, and just keep the links and… I grabbed a pen and started writing! Sometimes it is important to wake up and stop dreaming. I spent the middle of that night scribbling out the details and convincing myself it would work."
5. The Birth of the Engine
"Soon after, I told my advisor, Terry Winograd, it would take a couple of weeks to download the web — he nodded knowingly, fully aware it would take much longer but wise enough to not tell me. The optimism of youth is often underrated! Amazingly, I had not thought of building a search engine. The idea wasn’t even on the radar. But, much later we happened upon a better way of ranking webpages to make a really great search engine, and Google was born. When a really great dream shows up, grab it!”

From a scribbled note in the middle of the night, the algorithm birthed a company that reached a market value of over $739 billion.
9. God's Common Grace
God is so kind that He would bless Larry Page to be a blessing to all of humanity. Even though they may not even know or give Him the glory for it, God is still giving people dreams to bless them out of His great love for all people.

Larry Page became wealthy through a dream, but this is an ancient principle. King Solomon became wealthy through a dream after the LORD appeared to him!
10. Solomon's Midnight Visitation
“In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee… And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour… And Solomon awoke; and, behold, it was a dream.” (1 Kings 3:5, 13, 15)
