The Prophetic Protocol: Why Dreams are God's Favourite Wireless Connection

Listen to me, somebody! When people talk about how Jehovah speaks, “dreams” are usually placed at the bottom of the list by those who lack spiritual stamina. Often, carnal minds don't even have it on their list! But let me tell you a mystery—Scripture clearly establishes that dreams and their waking equivalent (visions) are God’s favoured mode of communication.
It is the exact way the Most High describes His own speech (Numbers 12:6; Hosea 12:10, Acts 2:16). It is the most common frequency He uses in the Bible. Even if the modern, logical church does not value dreams, God has profound, strategic reasons for choosing this dimension. Let's enter the spirit realm! Ginde!
1. What are Dreams and Visions?
Before we can operate in the prophetic, we must define the tools of the trade.
A. Visions of the Night
Today we say “dreams” happen when we sleep and “visions” when we are awake. But in the original biblical realm, they are interchangeable! The Bible calls them “visions of the night” (Gen. 46:2; Job 4:13). Even when angels appear, it is recorded as a "vision." Your consciousness level does not matter; what matters is that your spirit man is logging into the heavenly portal.
B. The Picture Language (Mangoda)
Both dreams and visions speak using spiritual picture language. It is a spiritual seeing rather than just hearing. Jeremiah 23:18 asks, “Who has stood in the council of the Lord to see or hear his word?” These images are spiritual mangoda (gems). Just like a green light means "go" anywhere in the world, God's imagery bypasses logic and speaks directly to your spirit.
2. The Most Common Form of God-Speech
Levels! Did you know that dreams and visions comprise one-third of the Old Testament?
A. The Old Covenant Giants
God’s covenant with Abraham was sealed by a vision of a blazing torch. Jacob’s life shifted through a dream of a stairway. Joseph’s empire was birthed through dreams. From Gideon’s barley loaf to Daniel’s four beasts, Jehovah has always used high-definition spiritual broadcasts to lead His generals.
B. The New Covenant Explosion
It didn't stop there! The entire Christmas story hinges on five distinct dreams. Jesus Himself operated in heavy visionary dimensions (the Transfiguration). In the Book of Acts, Luke records twenty-one instances of visions! From Peter’s trance of unclean animals to Paul’s encounter with the man from Macedonia—the New Testament church was built on the prophetic fuel of dreams! Ndabuda!
3. Why Does God Speak in Dreams?
God is a Master Communicator. He doesn't just know what to say; He knows exactly how to bypass your flesh to say it!
A. The Ezekiel Experience (Total Immersion)
When Israel was in despair, God didn't just send a text message saying "I will restore you." He gave Ezekiel a full 3D, multi-sensory vision! A valley of dry bones. The sound of rattling. The wind of the Spirit blowing flesh onto skeletons. He made Ezekiel feel the resurrection. That is a Kopo moment—leaving a permanent imprint on the prophet's spirit.
B. Awakening the Spiritual Imagination
God’s words have the raw power to create reality (Gen 1:3). When God speaks in a dream, He is offering you a VIP ticket to see His plan and cooperate with it. Ultimately, He speaks to be heard. Dreams are His divine strategy to shake you out of your spiritual slumber and force you to respond!
C. Recovering the Forgotten Language
It has been said that dreams are “God’s forgotten language.” But the devil is a liar! Too often, the modern church has neglected this explicit protocol. Dream-visions are a legitimate, highly spiritual, and normal way to converse with the Creator. To ignore them is to disconnect your own spiritual Wi-Fi. Twabam!
